Dr. Hatch is sharing the case studies below to show the types of health problems that can be fixed or at least helped with Chiropractic Care.
Meniere’s Disease helped by Chiropractors
Meniere’s disease. A 52-year-old man who presented at a chiropractic office had been diagnosed with Meniere’s disease (tinnitus, sensations of fullness in the left ear, vertigo) and tension headaches, right mid-back and scapular pain along with other musculoskeletal complaints.
Subluxations were located using chiropractic analysis procedures and after the first adjustment, the patient noted a minor reduction in his tinnitus.
After 4 adjustments given within 5 weeks of care he reported an improvement of about 60% of his symptoms of tinnitus, fullness and vertigo. He also reported a significant reduction of his pain and musculoskeletal complaints. (9)
Seizure, ataxia, fatigue, strabismus and migraine
A 75-year-old woman presented for chiropractic care suffering from gait ataxia (lack of coordination of muscle movement), strabismus (cross eyes), fatigue, blood pressure fluctuations, seizures of two weeks duration, and with a history of concussion.
She had been under medical care with no improvement in her condition.
A chiropractic examination revealed an atlas (C1) subluxation that was corrected with a chiropractic adjustment.
All of the patient’s symptoms quickly and painlessly reduced and/or resolved.
It is theorized that the atlas subluxation interfered with the blood flow to the brain and the correction restored blood flow.
Developmental delay, colic and GERD.
A 15-month-old female patient presented to a chiropractic office after her mother noticed developmental delays such as not standing, walking or talking.
Previous chiropractic care had been sought for complaints of GERD and colic in the child from birth to 5 months of age that resolved after she received three chiropractic adjustments.
Vertebral subluxations were identified at C1 and sacrum. Adjustments along with cranial work and rehabilitation exercises were also used as an adjunct to care. Improvements were noted after 18 visits; the child was able to walk unassisted and speak 3-4 words in Greek and English. (11)

Chiropractic clinical case histories have been a regular feature of our patient newsletter since its inception and have included papers published in various bio-medical and chiropractic journals. There seems to be no end to the conditions that respond to chiropractic care – physical as well as psychological conditions.
That is because chiropractic does not “treat” a particular condition. Chiropractic care “treats” or more accurately “corrects” a serious interference to brain, nervous system and energy function known as the subluxation.
No matter what condition you or a loved one may have, we always function better when free from subluxations. Chiropractors are uniquely trained to locate and correct subluxations. Enjoy this month’s cases and see more next month.
