I really believe that massage is an art form. The way each therapist combines their intuition, knowledge, and experience is as truly unique as fingerprints. I’ve been a massage therapist for 20+ years and I have over 3,000 hours of training in various techniques of massage. The basis of my technique is myofascial release. This modality moves slowly through the muscles while melting each muscle layer, allowing (pain-free) access to deeper tissues. I also combine many other modalities to customize your massage experience based on your body’s needs and your goals.
One of Crystal’s previous client’s had this to say “I feel that Crystal and my body are having a private conversation that only the two of them can understand. I don’t have to tell her what to do or where to work. She always finds what needs to be done.”
- Chronic pain
- Migraines/ tension headaches
- Oncology/Lymphatic Massage
- Silicone Cupping
Sheila Hennessey – Cranial Sacral Specialist – Licensed Massage Therapist – Parker Office
Cranial sacral is gentle touch therapy that encourages relaxation by holding specific points on the body that encourages the nervous system to return to a calm and neutral place. I adhere to the concept that the body inherently knows how to balance and heal itself and this can occur when the body is relaxed. My treatment goals include clarity of mind and heart while creating fluid spaciousness within the body.
My clients often experience subtle twinges or a tingling sensation. Sometimes, clients who have held on to trauma will experience an emotional release, which would be considered a deep healing.
Cranial sacral is an effective adjunct to traditional massage therapy, acupuncture, and chiropractic. It can be used to assist clients with trauma, headaches, TMJ dysfunction, PTSD, sinus congestion, and anxiety.
My particular style of cranial sacral is regulated by the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America, of which I am a registered therapist. Originally called osteopathic massage, it was abandoned when osteopaths and allopaths merged. Cranial sacral is enjoying a resurgence and is again being taught in osteopathic medical schools.
Sheila is a licensed massage therapist who recently joined our Parker team.
Moureene Taylor is a massage therapist from the Pacific Northwest which fostered a love for nature and an interest in the human role within our environment.
When she moved to Colorado, Moureene began the study of massage therapy. While she studying various modalities, she focused on advanced lymphatic drainage techniques. She continues to have a love of lymph in addition to other modalities such as deep tissue, myofascial release, and cupping.
Moureene is excited to be at Hatch Chiropractic & Wellness because of its diverse offerings.
