Juanita Jussenhoven Specialties:
Juanita has extensive experience with children. Juanita currently works at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora as a Mental Health Counselor assisting on 10 different units, such as: Neuro-psych, Adolescent and Child Psych, Eating Disorders, Emergency, and Medical units. She has a genuine desire to help children and their families find a sense of normalcy and thrive through some of life’s most challenging issues. Juanita has three children and five grandchildren of her own. She became a mom at an early age. This has prompted a deep empathy and desire to particularly help teen moms and dads. While she was growing with her children, Juanita volunteered as a student aid in elementary schools for 10 years, kids camp counselor for 5 years, and an evangelical traveling dance-drama coach of 10-12-year-olds for 13 years. The team preformed and learned in churches, nursing care facilities, street missions, orphanages in Tia Juana, Mexico, and prisons in Nicaragua.
Neurofeedback, neurotherapy, qEEG qualitative biotherapy are all terms for the same thing.
A Note from Juanita Jussenhoven:
I believe in the “Constant & Never Ending Improvement” (CANI) outlook on life, as stated by Tony Robins. No matter where you are, who you are or where or when you started out in life, life can always be improved upon. One just has to believe it, and then act upon that belief. I begin each day with prayer and a grateful heart, knowing there is a bigger plan than the one I just jotted down on my to-do list. There is a heavenly Father who has a plan filled with the needs of others, one filled with joy, and one filled with endless possibilities. I believe that I alone have a task to complete each day with my own unique gifts and talents- as do you! We all play a part in helping others thrive- no matter who or what we think we are. Me, I enjoy making a difference through counseling and neurofeedback.
Yes, I’m an optimist. I love to look at the bright side of life. With optimism comes new insights into the dreariest of situation, and it usually brings with it a lingering fragrance of happiness. Yes, I know life can be tough at times. I’ve also been through a few knee scraping, arm breaking moments that left me held face down in the mud of hurt and humiliation. But here’s an end thought, we have each other, we have an all-powerful creator, and sheer will on our side. So, why not pick ourselves up, cleans ourselves with the possibilities of a new day, and invest in our own life so we can give our best to helping those around us thrive!
By combining counseling and neurofeedback I create creates a unique whole mind/ brain approach to mental, cognitive and behavioral wellness. Why partner counseling with neurofeedback? Counseling addresses the process of why the mind talks to itself the way it does. Neurofeedback addresses the way in which the mind communicates with the physical brain (synaptic, electrical impulses), so that the physical brain can retrain and heal itself. The treatments are non- invasive, non- pharmaceutical, no side effects, and presents long term results at a fraction of the cost in the long run.
If you or someone you love is still suffering from anxiety, depression, bedwetting, migraines, ADHD, ADD, learning disorders, athletic performance issues, PTSD (and more), or simply from the side effects of medications currently being taken, learn how neurofeedback can help. It just might fuel your optimism toward a thriving life.
